Prompt: Summarize what you just read.
Well after the attack in the bookstore, Nicholas Flamel decides that the twins aren't safe. He takes them with him. Dee might've took the codex but with one or two pages gone, it's rendered useless. Nicholas knows that Dee will return for the pages. But the twins were going to get killed or worse if they stayed. So he took them with him. They went around and realized there were a bunch of rats that were watching them. Then he took them to a weird place.
Nicholas Flamel took them to a dojo. There, they met an ancient warrior. Her name is Scatty. While the twins were just hanging out, Scatty talked to Nicholas about how he could've easily taken the golems. Then, he asked her if she remembered a prophecy about twins. Then, Scatty asked him if he thought they were the ones. Nicholas said he was going to find out.
After the talk Nicholas and Scatty get attacked by golems. After defeating them they take off to a strange place. But, on the way there, they encounter a flock of birds. They were no ordinary birds and attacked. Nicholas and Scatty fended them off until they made it to their destination. There was a three headed god named Hekate that Scatty wasn't very fond of. They asked her to try and unlock the twins magic potential. They had pure silver and gold auras. It was very rare. After that they have a disaster dinner. They wait for next morning to see if they get their magic powers.
Very descriptive. I just read Gabe's blog which is similar to yours. His blog seems to go further into the book even though you read 58 more pages than him. Is there a reason for this? Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI saw that Gabe was reading book and I like how you two compared the character Nicholas F with a lot of specific details. Are the people in that picture the characters from the book? I noticed that your blog talks more about Nicholas than the other characters. Is Nicholas some kind of wizard or is he a witch? It's weird how a lot of birds attack in this book. Thanks for the Recommendation.
ReplyDeleteGreat post this week. I have been seeing a bunch of people read this book around school. It must be a really good book. I like how you were very descriptive when you wrote this summary. Overall, great post.
ReplyDeleteThis book seems interesting. I have seen people in battle of the books read this unfortunately I didn't get it. Which side do you think will win the bad or the good.
ReplyDeleteSo far, it sounds really good. You seem to really be enjoying the book. Is Scatty like totally awesome?
ReplyDeleteI liked your blog I am reading this book to and you told it just the way I would have told it. Great Job.
